Together with Theodor Müller (q.v.), he authored the second volume of the Deutsche Kunstgeschichte, Geschichte der deutschen Plastik. Feulner was among the first group of art historians to consider the Baroque an area worthy of art historical study, including Cornelius Gurlitt (q.v.), Heinrich Wölfflin (q.v.), Robert Dohme (q.v.), August Schmarsow (q.v.), Alois Riegl (q.v.), and Albert Brinckmann (q.v.).
